Pumpkin Carving

Last week for FHE we carved pumpkins! I was so excited because I had been wanting to do it and hadn't carved one since I was little. Here is just a selection of the fun :D

Not Your Average Picasso

Every time I draw something in class I begin by reminding the kids that I am not a very good drawer and that they might have to pretend that it looks like a (insert object here). On Friday we were talking about the beach (which is kind of funny as that is what we ended up picking as our whole week them this week--oh well!) and we were reading a book about going to the beach. It talked about building a sandcastle, so I drew this on the board so the kids could understand a little more what it was talking about. I would have to say that it didn't come out that bad and it really does look like a sandcastle (now the shells are another story :D)
