Hair Gone Wild

Originally my plan was that I had to lose another 20 pounds before I could get my hair done but I was at work on Monday night and people were talking about what they had done to their hair recently and I had the sudden urge to call Brea and get my hair done (I can just say how awesome it is having a best friend that does hair and is willing to always go along with your crazy last moment requests to do hair). I had no idea what I wanted done just knew I wanted different, Brea looked on Pinterest for some ideas (actually I pulled up my Pinterest on my phone at the sametime and we both found almost the exact same hair and showed each other). It was a darker brown with some red and caramel low-lights added in.

After:

I don't know if you can see it really but we didn't have enough of the darker so the underneath colors are a darker brown than the top. I love that my hair is differnt and a little "crazy" but not too crazy :) I love getting my hair done, it adds a little zip to life!

Red's the New Brown!

For a couple of months or so I've been looking at my hair and all I've seen was blah! I knew that I wanted to do something extreme and different than I have ever done before. I asked Brea and Leah for ideas of what I do, they suggested that I go with red (I'd done red low-lights before). I was a little nervous because I've never done complete hair color before and wasn't too sure about red but I trusted Leah and Brea and went with it.

The Before's---the top was my natural but the ends of my hair was parts of two previous highlight job's.

The first After Picture's! (extremely straight!)

Curly Hair

Hair a month after it was done
I was really shocked at first and definitely did not know if I was going to like it or not. I knew that my hair was different but could never picture it so every time I would look in the mirror for a couple of days I still continued to be shocked. I really like it now and am so happy with it!

Red Sky at Night, Sailor's Delight

A couple of weeks ago I was in my room when my roommate called to me to come look out the window...I came out to see this beautiful sight, of course I had to take a "couple" of pictures. I'm not even sure if what I took did it justice but it was gorgeous...I'm so grateful for the beauty that Heavenly Father has blessed us with in this world!

Flower Updates

Since I posted here about the beautiful red flowers I had seen in the corner of our deck even more have bloomed...

...this picture doesn't even do it justice for how beautiful it is.

And besides that plant blooming even more I looked around the rest of our deck and I realized that it is flourishing (?) with flowers, of every shape and color.

Besides them being quite beautiful flowers, can I say how pleased I am with my new camera and the quality of pictures it takes? I don't know a lot about taking pictures (I would love to learn more) but I am happy with the quality that I am getting.

Red Surprises

One day this week I was heading out of my room to go downstairs when I looked over to the corner of our "deck" and saw this, a beautiful plant with red flowers...

How blessed we are to have "surprises" like this from Heavenly Father. To have them brighten a day, I don't take enough time to appreciate the Earth's beauty, I need to do better at it. (*Even more flowers have bloomed since I took this picture a couple of days ago)

Patriotic Cashier

Besides Christmas the 4th of July is probably my favorite holiday. So even though I was at work I knew that I had to dress for the occasion. Mom and I both searched through our stuff and found me some patriotic stuff to wear...I wore some red and white earrings; red, white, and blue ribbons in my hair; a red, white, and blue button that Mom made; a red shirt under my white work shirt; and a super cute necklace of Moms.

Align CenterWhen I got home from work Mom decided that we needed to document my outfit...notice how many different pictures we had to take before we could get one that satisfied Mom.

I was trying to be the most patriotic cashier...did I win?
