Cookie-Gram

I don't know about others but in high school the week before Valentines day you could send out candy-grams, for $.25 each someone would deliver a lollipop to the person of your choice in their class at the end of the day. As a Freshman we would always look forward to that time in class, to see who "loved (or liked as in our case as it was generally our friends that sent them)" us enough to send us a candy-gram and who would have the most.

If you haven't figured out yet I have some pretty awesome roommates (and apparently pretty awesome roommate's parents)! Saturday afternoon when I came home I found this on the counter in the kitchen. The note says, "Hey guys, My Mom made us each a cookie with our names on it. Feel free to look through and find yours and eat it! -Janet"

How cool is that? Not only was that super sweet (hehe) of her Mom, but it was delicious! So soft and yummy!

February Brings Hearts

Probably the best part (because as of yet I don't have another reason to enjoy it :D) of Valentines Day? Having an excuse to bake, particularly things in the shape of hearts!

Valentines Decorations

Last year I worked at the Cannon Center (freshman housing cafeteria) and for every holiday they would have a special dinner with tons of cute decorations, well when Valentines was over they didn't want any of the decorations left over as they weren't going to be decorating in the next Cannon Center this year..so of course being my mothers daughter (:D) I had to take some of them. They had, had them in amongst the fake plants that were in the centers of each table..I got them out yesterday and taped them to Sarah's and my stairwell and then put the taller ones in a vase downstairs. It's not much but at least it's something..I think that they are cute!

(I just realized that I have lived in my apartment for over a month and I have never actually posted pictures of my apartment/house..I will try to remember take pictures tomorrow and get them posted soon!)

Valentines Treats

It looks like I know what I'm making people for valentines day...don't those just look yummy? I'm excited and can't wait to go to the store to buy the supplies!

Because I love February so much and that is supposed to be filled with love and happiness, I have decided to tell everyone that I love them at least once a day.

Welcome February!

I just wanted to welcome February...I love this month, not that I ever have a "love" exactly but I love using the holiday and the month as an excuse to do more baking and crafting for others. I hope that everyone has a wonderful February and that it is full of love and happiness for all!
