When I was little my Mom would always sing the song "When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Mother" to me, I loved that song (I may have loved to walk around the house singing it at the top of my lungs) and really it was something that I took to heart (for it was and still is what I want to be). Going to things like this dance recital are just a renewal of that desire to be a Mom...how proud the parents must have been of all these little girls (and a few boys too)! I could just feel the love for the children in the room and the desire of the children to have their parents proud and excited for them.

Growing Up
This Saturday we had another Newport gang breakfast...this time we invited all of those that were in our general age-group and their spouses/significant others. I wish that I had more pictures of our group growing up on my computer, but it is really amazing to look/think back about how lucky I am to have grown up with this awesome group of girls. Most of us have been together since we were little and still continue to be rather close. I love getting together with all of them and just having time to talk. It's amazing that even as we get older, our lives change (marriage, graduation, children, etc.) we still are able to connect and be as if we were still young.

Breakfast Gathering
Several weeks ago Lindsey Woolley was in town and wanted us to get together, because of the many scattered schedules we decided to gather for breakfast at Kneaders. 6 of us were able to be there, a couple were sadly missed but it was still fun to get together. It's amazing to look at everyone and remember what we were all like when we were younger and how far we all have come and the many different lives that we have now.
Lovely Leah!
Me, Brea, and Lindsey W. (we totally did not mean to have Brea and I wearing the same color and Krystle and Mandy to be wearing the same color, we just noticed it afterwards)
Everyone wanted Brea to rest the cup on her tummy, it was barely staying because she was laughing. Somehow though we were able to grab a picture before it fell.
Brea--for some reason every time I see this picture small and only glance at it quickly I think there is something on her nose, like frosting or something.

The Door That Never Opened
All my growing up there were 7 different doorways that went off of our very short hallway...
1. My Mom's craft room
2. The Bathroom
3. My Parent's bedroom
4. Stairs going to the 3rd floor
5. Stairs going to the basement
6. Dining Room entrance
7. For those that have been to my house they might have trouble figuring out what #7 could possibly be, I've listed all of them. Ahh but you are wrong, on the wall between the hallway and living room there is a door! But this door had never been opened in my whole life due to the fact that we had bookshelves, desks, and a couple of other things in the way. When we had cleared everything away from the living room and hallway I was quite excited to open the door and I enjoyed showing people how you could now run in a circle around my house (which is why my Mom said it got shut in the first place, my older brother's Ben and Nathan would run in circles and it got annoying very fast so she stopped the problem). Before we left my Mom wanted to take a video of me running in a circle through the house, I apologize that it is sideways.
