I Love To See The Temple

The Temple is a glorious building by itself, but added lights at night make it just seem like it is radiating. I love the immediate feeling of the Spirit that I have as I step onto Temple Square and Sunday evening was nothing different. Despite the hundreds (possibly even thousands) of people that were walking with me you could still tell that it was a special place that has been dedicated to the work of the Lord.

Breakfast of Champions!

After Addi was born Brea's mom Wanda came out for a week or so. When it was time for Wanda to fly home Brea asked if Leah and I wanted to drive to the airport with her so she didn't have to come home by herself.
Wanda had a fairly early flight so none of us had a chance to eat breakfast before we left so after we had dropped Wanda off at the airport we found a place to eat by Temple Square...it was perfect because it was a buffet of breakfast food! It was so yummy and fun to just be with Brea and Leah and baby Addi.

Good-Bye for Now

Several weeks ago Nathan and Sallee made a big move to San Diego, California. We were sad to see them go, but are excited for them and their new adventures, the chance to have a place to stay in California, and are better with the knowledge that we will see them for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A couple of nights before they left we gathered for a dinner with everyone that was in the area. We ate at this super yummy Indian restaurant in Salt Lake.
With all of us there we took up 3 tables (with stuff on the benches on a 4th I believe)!
The view to the left of me...Ben, Sonia, and family at one table. Nathan, Sallee, Mom and I shared a table in the middle (so everyone could talk to Nathan and Sallee). It was a very relaxed dinner and fun to see everyone. Even though I live near-by everyone I don't always feel like I see people.

After dinner we walked to where Mom's and Libbey's cars were parked. Nathan ran to where his was parked first to grab Jacob's car seat (as they had brought Jacob to the restaurant). I looked up to see Nathan running towards us with the car seat in one hand and Jacob in the other. He got to us and explained that as they were part way there Jacob stopped and said "Nathan, I can't go any further...I ran out of gas!"
Grandma and baby Claire...who is becoming less and less of a baby!

A close-up of the cutie-pie, who that night they decided looked more like a Mathews...Sallee said that she has the Mathews' "eyebrows."

Jacob playing in the water...he managed to get himself very wet by the end.

Nathan and Sallee walking away :(

Jacob wanted to follow them, so Uncle Kyle had to go grab him and bring him back to where we were standing and waving good-bye.

REAL-Salt Lake

So I finally made it to my first soccer game. Several weeks ago I got a forwarded e-mail from Nathan asking if anyone was interested in handing out fliers at a REAL soccer game the following weekend in Salt Lake. Nathan and e-mailed both Kyle and I so I called Kyle to ask him if he was interested. He said he was and suggested that we make it into a double date (yeah...NOT!). So I was put in charge of e-mailing the guy and Kyle was supposed to find the dates.
I got confirmation from the guy that we were able to come and then called Kyle back. He had found a girl and a guy, but the guy asked if he could bring his friend with him. Saturday afternoon came and the girl that was supposed to be coming was sick and couldn't come so another friend of Kyle's was going to come. So in the beginning it was supposed to be me, another girl and two guys, in the end it was me and four guys!
We got there and were told what we were supposed to do---basically hand out fliers to everyone about this program where you can order food from your cell phone and then they will deliver it to you for a fee at the games. Kyle and I were able to quickly hand ours out. After we were done all we had to do was pick a place and order some food and have it delivered to us.

One of Kyle's friends "stole" my camera and by the end of the night I had over 200 pictures! You are lucky that I edited and only put a few :D

Libbey and Erick's 30th Bash

Jacob loves the happy birthday song, he was singing it all weekend long. Sunday night Libbey had lit all of these candles and Jacob wanted to blow them out, we sang happy birthday and then he blew them out. :D

Sunday afternoon Libbey, Jacob and I were outside when we looked up and saw two beautiful rainbows, I tried to take some good pictures of them. One of them was really cool because it went red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, green, blue, purple- it was almost like there were two rainbows over laying each other.

The birthday cake (carrot from Costco, what else would you expect with the Chuy familia?)

A cute picture of Libbey (where she knew I was taking the picture :D)

Kyle.."I will stare into your eyes.."

I believe current Bishop and his wife with the last Bishop of Libbey and Erick's ward.

Katrina found a bone in her meat and needed a little help from Aunt Sallee.

Ben digging in on the yummy food (it was so delicious, I can't wait till they make more!)

The "Mathews" table.

Libbey was awesome and made Italian sodas for everyone the whole time...strawberry was my favorite!

We were all excited because Becky was in town and she stopped by, so we got to see her and we all got to finally meet Aubrey!

There were many people there with kids and several of them noticed that their children were disappearing, with a little investigation we found them all in Jacob's room with Sonia.

This past month both Libbey and Erick turned 30! and so they decided to have a huge bash, it was so much fun with tons of yummy of food. Before the party began we were worried about rain but by the time the party started it was clear skies and it was gorgeous, so many people came to celebrate. Sadly I didn't get any pictures of the dancing after the dinner, my camera died :(
