This picture still continues to crack me up. This was from my first trip to Taiwan, we were talking about how to get dressed correctly and for some reason the kids seemed to think that my skirt over shorts was not very fashionable (good then my lesson was learned :D).

PhotoHunt: Dark
Freshman Year for one of our FHE activities we went and Heart Attacked the bishoprics houses, of course in order to do that you have to be dressed in black so that you can sneak up and not be seen :D We wouldn't be who we are if we didn't take some silly pictures.

PhotoHunt: Orange
This is from my first trip to Taiwan, one weekend Natalie and I went downtown and had shaved ice. This is technically mango but it still looks delicious and orange!

PhotoHunt: Letters
This is again from my first time to Taiwan. One weekend we went to Taipei to the Temple and to see Taipei 101. You could buy postcards and send people a letter in the highest mailbox in the world. This postcard was sent to Mom and Dad.

PhotoHunt: Bubbles
This was taken at the Jolin Tsai concert we went to on the beach during Chinese New Year. I'm a huge fan of bubbles and wish that I could have taken some better ones, but she was completely surrounded by bubbles, so pretty and mystical.

PhotoHunt: Sparkle
You can't really tell in this picture but by this time I was completely covered in the sparkly glitter that you can get in a can around Halloween. It was so much fun to be a pretty fairy, and pretty funny when at the end of my shift I looked down in my checkstand and the ground was completely covered in glitter.

PhotoHunt: Monthly
I hate to say it but the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of monthly was not the most appropriate for blogging (well for some it might be, but not for mine :D), so I cleared that away from my mind and thought of the best thing that I do monthly...I get to go to the Temple! At school I wasn't the best at attending the Temple (which is really sad considering it's right up the street), but here we have worked hard at attending at least once a month, and I love being able to attend- even when I hit my head on the font :D

PhotoHunt: Half

This weeks theme was "half" and I thought a long time about that one and what it meant, I also looked at a lot of pictures to really betray "half," when I saw this one I knew it was the one. This was taken the night I graduated from high school during grad night. At about 1 or 2 in the morning we got on a bus and went bowling, Brea has never been one to stay awake at night and so while she was waiting for her turn she took a little power nap.
So this picture is: half awake and half asleep :D

PhotoHunt: Mother/Mom
A year ago in accordance with what was going on in my life I wrote several posts about my Dad, the memories that I had with him and how grateful I was to have him. I haven't always been so forthcoming with positive things to say about my Mom. When I was younger we had a terrible relationship, I was down right mean to my Mom, causing problems between her and my Dad and between others in the family.
When my Dad fell down the stairs two of my brothers were home for Christmas but they soon had to return to school and it was only my Mom and I home. Our relationship changed drastically, we became each others support, crying, laughing, hugging, listening, and just sitting with each other. My Mom became one of my best friends, though she wasn't always with me I talked with her each day, I still do, even with us being thousands of miles away.
I love this picture of her with Erick's sisters Madelaine and Lily, it shows the love that my Mom has: for her children and for her "adopted children" (of which there are many).
My Mom continually volunteers for things, even if she doesn't have the time or energy. Almost daily when I call her she will say that we can't talk for very long because she has 7 or 8 things that need to be done before she goes to bed (and it's already 9 o'clock). She opens her arms, heart, and home to everyone that she meets.
I am so lucky to have my Mom, I know that Heavenly Father chose for me to have her and her to have me for a very specific reason and I am so grateful for his decision. I love her and am grateful for her example in my life.
I Love You Mommy! Happy Mothers Day!

So I have chosen this picture, because we push out the black and pulling the color with happy thoughts.

PhotoHunt: Addiction
I admit that I probably have more than one addiction, but this picture is definitely 3 of my favorites :D I love babies (Sonia was holding my newest niece at the time, Aubrey...did I mention that I have a new niece? Her name's Claire and I can't wait until I get to meet her in July!) and little kids. They are happy, carefree, silly, beautiful, loving, sweet, honest, and I can't get enough of them. Besides babies and little kids I also love being with my family, my family is big, loud,

PhotoHunt: Covered
My freshman year I was a custodian at the Cannon Center. Every evening we had to wait until Tomassitos (a pizza place) and Cosmos (a hamburger grill) closed so that we could do their dishes. Because Tomassitos wasn't that big of a place they would fill those grey tubs up with ice and keep the food containers in the ice. Most nights we would melt it in the sink, but one night for some strange reason Matt agreed to let Cari dump the ice on him after work. So here he is covered with freezing cold ice water.

PhotoHunt: Vertical
I took this last time when I taught in Taiwan. I had the treat of having Nathan and Sallee come and visit me during October, around my birthday. They stayed in Taiwan for a week and then we went to Honk Kong for 5 days, unfortunately we didn't get to the Temple until evening when it was almost closing time. But I still love this view of the Temple and the characters that are vertical instead of horizontal.

PhotoHunt: Sweet

My Freshman Year Kyle and I were in a cooking class together and part of our final was that we had to make a "magnificent meal" as a group. We had to have at least 5 dishes and it had to be under a certain $ amount. Anyway we made a yummy peach cobbler and green jell-o with mandarin oranges and whip topping (don't you love the cute touch on top?), of course it couldn't have been Utah without jell-o :D
